Wood-pulp battery for drones and phones

The future is now! Nippon Paper Industries, a leading Japanese paper producer has successfully lit an electric bulb with a battery made with wood pulp. This breakthrough could pave the way to eliminating rare metals such as lithium and cobalt from being used in drones or smartphones because they can be powered by renewable materials instead.
